Job Summary
  • Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes.
  • Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability. This includes regular staff evaluations to ensure that all coaches are providing the best possible service. 
  • Modify and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand.
  • Serve as the manager for all part-time coaching staff. This includes scheduled team/coach meetings, and fostering an environment of continuous training education for other part time coaches.
  • A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1’s members Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by:
    • Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
    • Starting and finishing workouts on time
    • Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
    • Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 member
    • Coaching group workouts (at least 20 hours per week), personal training, and teams
    • Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
    • Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe
Responsibilities 
  • The Head Speed and Strength Coach (HSSC) will be responsible for leading the team of local coaches and delivering the BEST workout experience in the industry to our clients. The HSSC will report to and assist the General Manager ensuring all coaches are Level 1
    certified the D1 Way and maintaining quality control standards via consistent auditing and coaching feedback. D1 Coaches are
    responsible for delivering the BEST workout experience in the industry to our clients. The Coach is the front line customer experience at
    D1. Coaches demonstrate a passion for training athletes of all ages from 7 years old all the way to the adult athlete. Coaches lead
    training in D1 membership workouts, D1-on-1, small group personal training, and team training. Coaches are Level 1 Certified the D1
    Way and maintain a high level of coaching adhering to the latest brand standards and quality control measures. D1 Coaches assist in
    conducting assessments and goal setting during the FTA process ensuring athletes are prescribed, motivated, and committed to the
    proper program to reach their goals.
  • Serve as the Main coach for all the classes and oversee coaching schedule. Conduct and lead all classes the D1 Way. This requires proper attire, proper music, loud verbal coaching, understanding/enforcing coaching cues, organization of the group sessions, and
    tempo and transition of all the groups.
  • Train and develop the other coaches in the facility through staff meetings, continuing education, and program review. Ensure all new coaches go through the proper process to become a D1 coach. Provide feedback to D1 Home Office on the programming and
    success stories.
  • Oversee the training spaces maintenance and cleaning. Maintain equipment, cleaning, and organization of all training areas.
  • Attend and lead marketing events such as competitions, combines, etc.
  • Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes.
  • Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
  • Modify and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand.
  • Reduce an athlete's risk of injury by focusing on proper technique and movement patterns.
Qualifications
  • Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification
  • Has at least one valid certification accredited by the NCAA.
  • Minimum of 1 year of strength & conditioning-related experience in group, team, or personal training setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field
  • Has collegiate coaching experience
  • Has prior management or supervisor experience 
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
